Our Unforgettable Group Caribbean Cruise Adventure
Our recent Caribbean cruise was an adventure on infinity blues, under a tropical sun that felt nothing short of paradise on earth. Being with a large group extended the vivacity of the experience, allowing us to create stories and memories to treasure.
A Home at Sea: The 'Divinity Seas'
We called 'Divinity Seas', a large family-friendly cruise ship, our home for the duration of the cruise. Despite its imposing size, the ship, with the help of outlets like CruiseCritic[1], was designed to accommodate large groups comfortably, providing spaces that allowed us to bond as well as spend time individually.
The Joy of Shore Excursions
The charm of shore excursions was elevated when experienced with a large group. Our adventures ranged from exploring local markets in St. Maarten, hiking in Puerto Rico's lush forests, snorkeling amongst Cozumel's vibrant reefs to building sandcastles on Grand Cayman’s beaches.
Life Onboard
Back on the ship, our children enjoyed their time in the onboard clubs which offered a variety of age-appropriate activities. Adults found joy in challenging each other at the Sportsplex or relaxing in the serene onboard spa, ensuring a wholesome experience for every member of the group.
Success in Planning
Planning a vacation for a large group can be intimidating, but we found early and detailed planning to be the key. Before making any bookings, discussions about budgets, cabin arrangements, meal options, individual interests, and limitations were conducted.
Our Caribbean voyage was brimming with laughter, adventure, relaxation, and camaraderie. While coordinating a large group came with its challenges, the joy of shared experiences and lasting memories were uplifting.
Lessons Learned
A cruise vacation with a large group might seem intimidating, but with thoughtful planning, the willingness to explore, and embracing shared experiences, it can overflow with happiness. Are you ready to set sail?
